Hotel Rho The 3-Star Rho Hotel Opened Its Doors In April 1989. The Building Was Formerly Used By An Old Amsterdam Gold Trading Company. The Beautiful Reception And Lobby Were Once A Theater, Built In 1908 In Art-Deco Style. The Hotel Has 3 Elevators. After Check Out Is Possible To Store Luggage In The Hotel Free Of Charge. The Hotel Has A Bar, Open From 4.00-11.30 Pm.. In The Lobby There Is A Vending Machine With Drinks And Snacks And A Coffee/Tea/Chocolate Machine.Bicycles Can Be Rented In The Hotel. The Hotel Has It's Own Garage For Parking Your Car. Reservations Requested. Small Vans Up To 2 M. High, Motor Bikes And Bicycles Can Be Parked Here Also. # Excursions By Bus Or Boat Can Be Booked At The Reception Desk.Public Areas Of The Hotel And Some Of The Rooms Are Accessible For Wheel Chairs.Free Wireless Internet Connection/Computer Use. Directions From the airport: - You can take a taxi, it will take you about 30 min.- You can take the shuttle bus from CONNEXXION to DAM square, every half hour. You find the desk of Connexxion in the airport in the main entrance/departure hall, a bit on the left hand side. The Rho Hotel is 1 minute walking from the bus stop on Dam square.- You can take a train from the airport to Amsterdam Central Station. Travelling time is about 20 min. From 6 AM until 24 PM 4 trains per hour, rest of the day at least one train per hour.From the train station: - Walk along Damrak street to Dam square, this will take you about 5 min. When you come out of the station, do not go left or right, just straight ahead in the street before you. On Dam square, cross the square to the left, along the monument. You will find the hotel in the side street behind the monument, just a few steps from the square.- You can take a tram in front of Central Station, get out at the first stop. Tram nrs 4, 9, 16, 24, 25. You can buy a ticket inside the tram. Coming from outside the city follow the signs for CENTRUM. You will be ending up on DAM square close to the hotel. The hotel is in a street called NES, which is a side street from DAM square. Location Information The RHO HOTEL is located in the heart of the old city in a quiet side street, a few steps from the historic DAM square, the central square of Amsterdam, with the Royal Palace and the New Church. The Central Station is about 5 min. walking distance. Shopping and night life is, although its quiet location, all around the hotel. You find the best department stores, the unique MAGNA PLAZA shopping mall, and the long pedestrian shopping street Kalverstraat at walking distance. Excursions by bus or by boat are leaving from around the corner. Around the hotel are the canals with their historic houses. Rooms Information The rooms are modern and comfortable. All rooms have private facilities en-suite (shower or bath and toilet), hair-dryer, satellite television, direct dial telephone, safe (free of charge) and fan. The rooms have a fridge. All rooms are non-smoking. They offer unique suites: Five spacious and quietly situated suites, tastefully and comfortably decorated. All suites have separate living- and bedrooms. Suites have a large and cosy living room and an adjoining dining area. A coffeemaker, water cooker, microwave and fridge are at your disposal. All suites are equipped with private facilities with full bath and shower, lavabo and hairdryer. Ideal is the separate toilet. The 2/3 persons suites have a separate bedroom with three single beds. The 4 person suites have two separate bedrooms with 2 single beds each. All suites have a large LCD television, phone and safe. Spacious balcony.
