With its small garden and the top floor library overlooking the river, this mansion transmits a romantic and welcoming feeling. Eça de Queirós, the famous Portuguese novelist, is connected to the hotel by tradition and there are those who say that he lived and found inspiration in this palace for another magical home - O Ramalhete in his novel Os Maias.
