Welcome to Castries

Castries is the capital and largest city of St Lucia a country in the Caribbean with a population of 20,000 people. Castries is in a flood gut and is built on reclaimed land. The city’s design is in a grid pattern similar to the metropolitan city New York but on a much smaller scale. The harbour receives cargo vessels, ferry boats & cruise ship. They have shopping facilities such as Point Seraphine and La Place Carinage that provides goods, as well as Supermarkets. The city is well serviced by a bus system and taxi service. St Lucia main post office is located in Castries, because most of the country does not use standard street addresses
