Location. This luxury hotel is situated directly on the Bay Bahia Mainon on the north coast, in the leisure area of Puerto Plata. Links to the transport network can easily be reached on foot (bout 300 m away) and Puerto Plata is roughly 9 km away. The airport is about 25 km from the hotel. Facilities. Opened in 2003, the hotel is spread over 3 floors with 544 double rooms. The hotel is one of 3 RIU hotels that together form a extensive resort. The heart of the resort is the Caribbean street where a kiosk, photography service, jewellery and souvenir shop, a hairdressing salon, a chemist, a salon bar with stage, disco, casino, games room and air-conditioned restaurant with non smoking area (highchairs for infants provided) are to be found. Additionally, a public Internet terminal is available. Those arriving by car may take advantage of the car parking and garage facilities.
