A boutique hotel, a restaurant and many stories to tell. Hotel El Guía in Sóller opened its doors in 1880 and is one of the oldest hotels and restaurants in Mallorca. With over a century of history, the hotel has stayed true to its essence over the years. El Guía is a small boutique hotel, with only 24 rooms, and restaurant, located in the heart of the town of Sóller, next to the train station, and mere steps from the main square. It is one of the oldest establishments in Mallorca (opened in 1880) and retains all the character and charm of the island’s most traditional architecture. Without large facilities, the hotel offers guests the chance to stay in an authentic Mallorcan hotel with exquisite attention to detail. A recent remodel and update has respected the essence of this historical establishment. The rooms provide breathtaking views of either the Serra de Tramuntana or the church’s large bell tower. All of this comes together to make El Guía a quiet and extremely cozy place to stay, a charming little hotel with warm and friendly service guaranteed to make guests feel right at home. The hotel is the perfect location for hikers – UNESCO named the stunning Sóller valley and its surroundings a World Heritage Site in 2011. Balearic tourist tax is not included in the total price and it must be paid the day of arrival (check in) in the establishment.
