The capital of the country, Tapei, is a dynamic, cultutal city, where you will be able to enjoy plenty of activities: from the visit of commemorative sites and museums to the temples, including the numerous events and festivals of the city and of course the Tapei 101 skyscraper. Tainan, the oldest city of the country and the former capital, is for example very famous for its historic buildings.

If you are looking for nature, the East Coast of Taiwan will surprise you by its stunning lanscapes. While there, make sure not to miss the Taroko Gorge near Hualien.The country is also overflowing with mountains, which will allow you to enjoy some breathtaking views and why not some hiking. The island is also home to several great beaches and national parks, such as the Kenting National Park: located in the south of the country, it is famous for its beaches and lush vegetation.
