Welcome to Gyeongju

Gyeongju

Situated in the southeastern part of Korea, Gyeongju was the capital of the former Kingdom of Silla, the longest dynasty in the history of Korea. Symbol of the Buddhit religion, the city features many Buddhist relics and temples. The two main historical sites are the Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto as they became in 1995 the first UNESCO World Cultural Heritages in Korea. But the city itself is said to be a must-see and has so much to offer that it is hard to know where to begin.
