Day 1 –


Your tour will start with a morning flight to Milan. Flying with Aer Lingus, flight departs Dublin at 07:10
and arrives into Milan Linate at 10:40.  On arrival in Milan, meet your local guide for private coach
transfer to the 4* Cavour Hotel where you are booked for three-nights on a bed &
breakfast basis.   


 
Day 2 –
This morning, discover Milan’s historical centre on a comprehensive sightseeing tour of Milan. Marvel at the scale and beauty of Milan Cathedral and learn of its long history. Explore the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele shopping arcade, a highlight of Italy’s fashion capital.

After your morning tour (which involves walking as many of Milan’s famous attraction are close-by), you will have free time for lunch.  

After lunch, continue your sightseeing tour with a visit to Milan’s famous Duomo, a much-loved symbol of the city which dominates the Piazza del Duomo.  After your Duomo visit, you will continue on to the sightseeing tour highlight, a visit to Da Vinci’s masterpiece, 'The Last Supper,’ in the famous UNESCO World Heritage site of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie Milan. Please note that this visit is pre-booked for 17:15.  Please note that demand is always high for this attraction and our visit time is confirmed for 17:15.
The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie is one of the most beautiful Italian churches and is typical of the late Gothic architecture of Milan. It was built by the Dominicans 1463-1482.  The church is famous for the mural of the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci. The painting measures 450 × 870 centimeters and covers the back wall of the dining hall at the monastery. The Last Supper specifically portrays the reaction given by each apostle when Jesus said one of them would betray him. It was painted between 1495 and 1498.
 

The evening is at your leisure.


Day 3 –
Enjoy the day at leisure before attending the highlight of your stay in Milan – a performance of La L’Elisir d’Amore in Milan’s famous La Scala Opera House, with category one tickets.   Your hotel is just a short stroll from the opera house.
 
Performance start time:  20:00


Day 4 –
Today, you have the day free in Milan for independent sightseeing.  In the early evening, meet your local guide for coach transfer to airport for return flight.  Flight departs Milan Malpensa airport at 21:45 and arrives Dublin 23:15.
