Wexford Opera House

Wexford Opera House is Ireland's National Opera House. It is the country's first custom-built, multi-purpose opera house and home to the world-famous Wexford Festival Opera - one of the world’s leading opera festivals. The stunning landmark building is nestled into the heart of the beautiful harbour town of Wexford and offers two diverse performance spaces, the O’Reilly Theatre and the Jerome Hynes Theatre, as well as numerous meeting & hospitality facilities including a café and many bars.

Directions from Wexford Bridge:

When you come across Wexford Bridge turn left. you will approach the first pedestrian crossing, turn right here. Continue straight through the bullring and into Cornmarket. Turn right at the roundabout for Parking in Whites Hotel under ground Car Park or left and immediately right to bring you to Rowe Street Church Car Park. Please note there is limited Car access to High Street except for set down outside Wexford Opera House.

 

Directions to Wexford Opera House from the N11:

Take the N11 Road from Dublin going through Gorey, Camolin, Ferns, and Enniscorthy. As you enter Enniscorthy take the 2nd Exit off the Roundabout Signposted Wexford/Rosslare. Follow the one way system left over the bridge, and then turn right off the bridge. Continue straight ahead along the main N11 road towards Rosslare.

Continue on past Ferrycarrig Hotel (on your left as you approach the outskirts of Wexford town). Take the first exit on the Quality Hotel roundabout. Continue along this road past Wexford Hospital. Continue through two sets of traffic lights, and down Hill Street, which is on your left.

At the end of Hill Street there is a small roundabout, take the exit to the right. There is a one way system in operation from here. Continue left past the Petrol Station, turn right and continue on past Dunne’s Stores (will be on your right). Again you are approaching a roundabout, continue through the traffic lights, to the left and continue along the quay with the water on your left.

As you continue along the quay, you will approach the first pedestrian crossing, turn right here. Continue straight through the bullring and into Cornmarket. Turn right at the roundabout for Parking in Whites Hotel under ground Car Park or left and immediately right to bring you to Rowe Street Church Car Park. Please note there is limited Car access to High Street except for set down outside Wexford Opera House.

 

Directions from Cork/Waterford (South West):

From Cork take the Waterford road (N25) and follow signs for Rosslare. Stay on the N25 and continue through New Ross (over the bridge and take the right turn). After traveling through New Ross, continue along the N25 towards Wexford. As you are entering Wexford, you will approach the New Ross Roundabout. Take the second exit onto the R769, signposted for Wexford. Continue along this road past Wexford Hospital. Continue through two sets of traffic lights, and down Hill Street, which is on your left.
