Enniscoe House (Castlehill)

Hidden among the woods at the foot of Mount Nephin is Enniscoe House, “the last Great House of North Mayo”. Enniscoe Estate is ideally placed in the renowned Fly Fishing and Game Angling waters of the West of Ireland. The Enniscoe House offers fishermen and anglers the highest standards of guest accommodation or why not try one of the self-catering apartments. Cloonamoyne Fishery, on the shores of Lough Conn, provides a discerning angling service for both the dedicated angler and the absolute beginner. Fishery manager Ian Wise is on hand to assist you with all your fishing needs.

Lough Conn is renowned for its brown trout fishing with the main season running from April to September. In addition to trout fishing, there is usually a run of Spring salmon and later, a run of grilse. Arrangements can be made for fishing on other local lakes and rivers where salmon and sea trout are the main quarry.

At Cloonamoyne Fishery one can hire boats, engines and the services of experienced gillies, and avail of the facilities at the purpose built fishing lodge on the shores of Lough Conn.

How to get to the Enniscoe House:

Located just 4.5km south of the village of Crossmolina on the R315 route to Castlebar town, Enniscoe House is approximately 20km from Ballina town and 60km from Knock International Airport.
