Location Located on a quiet corner steps from the beach at 1400 Ocean Drive, the Winter Haven is a heavenly hideaway where architecture is the star. A unique escape cleverly disguised as a hotel, the hotel?s exclusive location allows guests the opportunity to stay on South Beach?s most famous and energetic street, yet escape to one of 71 welcoming guestrooms. Popular boutiques, nightclubs and restaurants lie within easy walking distance, or sneak away for an afternoon to the rooftop sun deck. Facing world renown Ocean Drive in the double height lobby you?ll find a martini bar similar to the hotel in character ? understated and eclectic. Distance Centrally located 18 kms to the nearest airport (miami international airport) Rooms Spread throughout the Winter Haven, these rooms feature queen beds and are decorated in custom Art Deco furnishings. Although these rooms have limited to no views, the large windows allow for ample light from the warm and welcoming South Florida sun. Restaurant No restaurant on property, but countless options in walking distance. Exterior Designed by acclaimed architect Albert Anis, the Winter Haven?s glamorous facade was first unveiled on Ocean Drive in 1939. Originally crafted as a simple yet sophisticated ocean front hotel, much of the historic soul and elegance of the Art Deco movement remains today. Lobby Open and light, two-story lobby featuring a Martini-Bar. Stealing from a time of simplicity, hushed conversation, and stiff drinks, Winter Haven?s bar is a throwback to a true mid-twentieth-century martini joint. Located in the lobby and extending to the front patio, there?s something curiously attractive about the carefully preserved black rounded marble top, original wood fascia, and stainless foot rails. The bar also pulls much of its character from the same dramatic terrazzo floor that adorns the soaring tiered lobby.
