Maspalomas beach is one and a half miles long, facing south and mostly free of big waves. At the opposite end is small shopping centre with restaurants and shops Gran Canaria has lush forests, exotic plants and animals, dunes, mountains, volcanic craters and even snow on the highest peaks.
